Castle Row, Mumby Road, Gosport, PO12
This is the perfect place to hide away and warm up in the winter or jumping off your yacht in the summer for a few jars!

The site is where an old 17th century fort used to be – Fort Charles, which was built at the behest of Sir Bernard de Gomme, Charles II’s chief engineer in 1679. The fort was demolished in the early part of the 19th century and records show that The Castle Tavern has been on that site from at least 1859, one of 60 taverns in the immediate town centre area at the time!
